Mechanical Ventilation Testing in Cornwall & the South West

Mechanical ventilation testing is required to show compliance with Part F of the Building Regulations. EAC South West provides fast, reliable testing across Cornwall (Penzance, Truro, Falmouth, St Ives) and the wider South West — with UKAS-calibrated equipment and an Elmhurst-accredited operative. Certificates are accepted by Building Control.

Confirm extraction capacity

We measure the air-flow rate of mechanical extract fans to verify the required performance.

Complex systems

Testing can include more complex systems such as Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR).

Certificate for Building Control

You receive a certificate detailing the measured air-flow rate(s) for submission as part of overall compliance.

What the test involves

  1. On-site measurement

    We measure the air-flow rate of each required extract point or system outlet.

  2. Verify performance

    We confirm the extraction capacity meets the required levels under Part F.

  3. Issue certificate

    You receive a certificate with the measured air-flow rate(s) for Building Control.
